Welcome to my blog, Daisy chains by Natasha.
I have tried this blogging business once before but with a Facebook page, and website to run I never had much time left to make all the things I wanted to, so the blog had to go. But even though I do still have a Facebook page I have ditched the website so I have decided to return to the world of blogging (I do like a good chat even if it is to myself!). I aim to post regularly on here all  about my crafty makes, tutorials and bits of my life that I think you might like to have a sneaky peek at. Right now I should have put my laptop down to sit and watch a family film "Cloudy with a chance of meatballs" as I promised my 2 lovely little men so this blog will be brief tonight.
I have to say that my inspiration for this blog and the reason for starting one up is all down to the lovely Lucy over at Attic 24. I am totally obsessed with  going over to her blog and seeing what gorgeous crochet she has been doing or taking a peek into her everyday life as a mother and homemaker. I hope that one day people will pop on over to see me just as much (in my dreams!).
Anyway, I will leave you with a few pics to have a look at whilst I go and watch the ending of this film with the lovely men in my life (hubbie included). Catch you next time, Natasha xxx
These are my grandparents 1940s  dining chairs which were handed down to me. I have had them for years in this rather sorry state and thought it was time ( now that I have a bit more confidence with using paint on furniture) to bring them back to life. They are dated 1948. I have sanded them down. Detest this job!
On goes the first coat of primer
They have had a coat of primer and undercoat whilst waiting for them to dry I covered the seats.
I have chosen some rather bright funky material to cover the seats with, would you like to see it?.........
Ta dah!! Do you like? I managed to pick this up in my local sewing shop, enough to cover both chairs for £1.00 - BARGAIN!

All covered! I love this part of the job as it is relatively easy to do and can transform an old object immediately. Would you like to see the final result? I have painted them in a porcelain blue wood paint but in these photos I'm afraid they look white.............

Do you like? I still have the other one to paint. I am going to place this one in my lounge by the bookcase so if you fancy a book to read you can enjoy it sat on my renovated chair by the mini library!

I have added a handmade funky cushion for extra comfort - in case that book you pick is really rather good! x
